EAS NHSACA PARTNERSHIP
NHSACA ImageIn early 2006, EAS entered into a partnership with two leading nonprofit organizations—the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA)—on a comprehensive campaign to educate strength coaches, personal trainers, high school coaches and their student athletes on the proper nutrition and fitness strategies to achieve the best performance results.

These days, healthy, balanced nutrition—combined with an appropriate exercise and training regimen—is the foundation for success in sports. Now, more than ever, it is important to educate young athletes about safer alternatives to banned substances. Collaboration between these partners’ focuses on this objective, combining an experienced knowledge base to educate athletic directors, coaches, and athletes about the dangers of steroid usage while offering scientifically based ethical alternatives.

Awareness is key. EAS will also utilize the expertise of Amanda Carlson, M.S., R.D. of Athlete’s Performance—a nutrition counselor to sports greats such as Brett Favre and Curt Schilling—whose impressive world-class nutrition know-how will help get the right message to our nation’s high school athletes.

This partnership will build on EAS’ existing engagement and leadership in the National Football League (NFL) and NFL Players’ Association (NFLPA), as well as Major League Baseball (MLB) and the MLB Players’ Association certification programs. EAS has become the first—and currently, the only— company whose products have been certified as safe and free of banned substances by the comprehensive supplement certification programs for NFL players and teams.

Like the NFL program, achieving MLB certification requires sports nutrition products to undergo a rigorous testing and verification process, conducted by an independent, third-party testing organization.

“When you look at the high incidence of banned substance abuse among student athletes, lack of education is the primary problem,” reports EAS Division Vice President Chris Scoggins. “The partnership between EAS and NSCA offers a unique opportunity to provide education and outreach to more than 33,000 strength coaches internationally and explain how science-backed nutrition and exercise products deliver safe and effective solutions to optimize performance.”

With a strong scientific base, the NSCA program provides a bridge between scientists in the laboratory and practitioners in the field. By working to find practical applications for new research findings in strength and conditioning, the association fosters the development of strength training and conditioning as a discipline and as a profession.

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

So far I have been on Muscle Armor for three weeks and I can tell a huge difference in both my recovery time and ability to train harder. For example I ran 70 miles in seven days last week, broken down into seven 10-mile runs. Usually around day four or five, my runs begin to suffer and my performance actually drops on the run (meaning I would still run 10 miles but not as fast). With the new Muscle Armor not only did I run the 70 miles in a week, but every day—except for the last (7th day)—I ran considerably faster on the exact same course. To me, there is no better example of how I could recover faster and push harder in my training than that. Since running is the hardest on my body it is always my best indicator of recovery and performance ability. I know my 2006 season is going to be killer and the Muscle Armor is going to allow me train harder and longer than ever possible. Trenton J. Tollakson Triathlete
