Q: How much Glutamine do I need each day?
A: Generally speaking, hard-training fitness enthusiasts and athletes may benefit the most from consuming 5 to 15 grams of Glutamine each day. How much each individual needs may depend upon their body size and activity levels. In other words, larger individuals, and those training at high levels of intensity may experience better recovery with 10 – 15g of Glutamine each day. For best results, consume one serving immediately post workout and/or before bedtime.

Q: What is Muscle Armor™?

Q: Should I cycle Muscle Armor™?
A: Cycling is a practice used by some fitness enthusiasts to offset the body's tendency to become attenuated, or "used to", a particular ingredient. When this happens, more of that particular ingredient needs to be consumed to experience the former effects. "Cycling off" for a period of time may allow the body to readjust so that the effects of the ingredient are more pronounced. However, the ingredients in Muscle Armor are readily used by the body for repair and recovery therefore; cycling of this product offers no apparent benefit.

Q: How do I take Muscle Armor™ if I am using a creatine product?
A: Since Muscle Armor and creatine may offer synergistic effects, they are fine to take in conjunction with each other. Simply follow label directions for use with each product.

Q: If I am currently using a product that contains HMB, will I be getting to much of it if I take Muscle Armor™ as well?
A: Muscle Armor contains 1.5g of HMB per serving and at the recommended use of two daily servings, the proper intake of HMB will be accomplished. The bottom line is, daily intake of Muscle Armor will take care of all your HMB needs. Now, there isn't supporting evidence to show that any more than this will product greater results. At the same time, consuming more than 3 grams hasn't been shown to yield any negative effects. In other words, utilizing more than one product that contains HMB is a matter of person choice. If you personally experience greater benefits with more than 3g of HMB each day, then go for it.

A: Take 2 servings of Muscle Armor daily, with meals.

Q: Are there any side effects with Muscle Armor™?
A: The "side effects" of Muscle Armor are all positive! Faster recovery, less muscle catabolism, immune support and cell volumization are all beneficial for fitness enthusiasts interested in getting the most out of their training program.

Q: Is Muscle Armor™ OK for women?
A: Muscle Armor offers many benefits for female athletes and fitness enthusiasts. Minimized tissue breakdown, enhanced recovery and a stronger immune system are universal needs, regardless of gender. Women may take one to two servings daily.

Q: What is HMB?
A: HMB stands for beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate. It's a metabolite of the branched-chain amino acid leucine. HMB is found in foods of both plant and animal origin, and HMB is also normally produced in the body. (Depending on the nutritional program, from .3 grams to 1 gram of HMB is produced in the body per day.) Its precursors are the amino acid leucine and the keto acid KIC. Certain plants such as alfalfa and plant products such as corn silage appear to have relatively large concentrations of HMB. Grapefruit and catfish also contain relatively high concentrations of this nutrient. However, similar to various vitamins and other micronutrients, it is extremely difficult and impractical to consume enough of these foods on a regular basis to provide the full benefits of HMB. It is probably much more practical to use a dietary supplement containing pure HMB.

Q: How do you supplement with HMB?
A: HMB is simple and easy to use. The recommended use is to take four capsules, three times daily with meals. That's a total of 12 capsules per day. Some research suggests larger individuals (over 200 pounds) may need more, up to 5 or 6 grams per day. HMB can be used with a multi-nutrient/nutrition shake product or just regular food. HMB does not eliminate the need for any other supplement nor does HMB have to be used along with any other supplement. Of course, those who are using HMB in an effort to stimulate gains in muscle size and strength should obviously be engaged in regular, intense weight-training exercise.

Q: What does HMB do?
A: Researchers are not completely certain how HMB works in the body. It appears that this amino acid metabolite supports the body's ability to minimize protein breakdown subsequent to stress such as intense exercise and it also may work to preserve the integrity of cell membranes. By minimizing protein breakdown, HMB, when combined with a resistance-training program, may cause an increase in muscle mass and strength. The exact mechanism behind HMB's effectiveness will have to be determined in future research.

Q: Does HMB cause any side effects?
A: We produce from .3 to 1 gram of HMB in our bodies per day. Also, HMB occurs naturally in various whole foods such as grapefruit and catfish. Thus HMB is not a drug, and studies to date suggest no adverse side effects.
